#1 Venue for Friday parties

Home to weekly parties, Lunar Outreach is a club for VRchat. It features video players, pool tables, mirrors, dance floor, twister, basketball hoop, cinema area, comfy areas, Chess Table, and more!

The venue is a general purpose space for 10-64 players in the virtual world. VRchat is known for its poor framerates resulting from user content, so Lunar Outreach has been designed to be efficient. Polygon counts, user graphics options, number of textures, and texture resolutions have been a priority in its creation, the world size in total sits at around 70mb.

DJ tested

Lunar Outreach has been an honored to host many amazing DJ's such as LennoxVR, JIGSAW, Sox, Moki, and many more!

The Dance Floor

The dance floor integrates AudioLink, VRSL, Orels shaders, and ProTV. This allows it to sync its shading effects to the music, and feature a translucent video layer. VRSL handles the stage lighting via audio link to provide dynamic lighting at higher graphics option levels.

Cinema area

Not just for music, the video player also has a large cinema sized screen with podium seating for sharing online videos/streams from services like YouTube, Twitch, and VRCDN with guests.

The Chess Table

Every good venue needs a good chess table... ?

Okay, maybe not, but Lunar Outreach has one! I wanted to create an efficient chess table that is synced across all players, this one has a guide system so it can highlight all the valid legal moves when a player picks up a chess bit. It can automatically promote chess bits, and supports castling moves. On top of this it has a built in network synced timer that is designed to enable fair play even with international latency issues. If that wasn't enough it also supports multiple game modes including Draughts and Horde mode.
